First day of Uni life

It all started when i arrived at Uni check in station. Everyone there was standing in line to get a goody’s bag and there room key, once we had received those we waited for a guild to show us around our dorms. Chris the RA for red and blue house showed me my room with a few other students that had arrived at the same time, i was shown to my yellow house, but when we got there my key wouldn’t open the door to my room, so Chris told me to leave the hatch in the door and still move in he would have my room key back later when fixed.

I thought to myself why wouldn’t it work i wondered but then i realised that most of the rooms had the hatches leaving them open which meant it was a conmen thing. We all found out later that there had been a batch of bad keys made and it was because they were in a rush to finish for when first year students arrived.

Well i started moving my stuff in; it wasn’t hard just caring things from the car to my room then unpacking them. My parents helped me as i went to try to make new friends. Everyone here is nice and is trying to make friends as well so everyone is in the same boat. I meet most of my house but whenever i saw them again i couldn’t remember names but as you see them more and talk to them you can start remembering their names.

I went to some meetings with my parents and the RA’s gave us great advise plus help with who they are what they will do and how they can help us, pretty much they are here to make sure we are safe. They also told us what we can’t do in and out of the houses like noise has to stop at 10 things like that.

After the meetings my parents left and there was a BBQ, so everyone went there for dinner but after getting food everyone went back to their houses and ate which was good because at the BBQ there wasn’t any seats. After having tea everyone went to get ready for the beach theme party at the slosh which is the uni bar.

CSU gave us a bus to get there and everyone was in weird and funny outfits. On the bus there everyone was talking and i was talking to new a person which was fun, and you get to see what other people are like in the other blocks.

We arrived at the slosh and had to line up since you had to pay $5 to get in plus show ID, when everyone was in there it was just like a normal party, no one knew each other much. So i went to get drinks and talk to new people. About an hour later everyone was on the dance floor so i joined them and we all danced until about 11:30pm then went outside and waited for the bus.
When we got back to our houses we all stayed up and talked and was funny things happened like a boy named Ben got heaps drunk and was making us laugh us so when the RA Chris came along he put Ben to bed and everyone else went to bed

So that was my first day of laughs at CSU it was great fun, hope you enjoyed reading.
